The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, has announced a Ghc100,000,00 and logistics package for the 14 NDC Parliamentary Candidates in orphan constituencies in the region.

On 17th August this year, the Electoral Commission of Ghana announced its intended limited registration exercise for citizens who could not register in the 2020 registration window to now register to vote, but has failed to open up access to the registration despite calls from various well-meaning Ghanaians to make the exercise accessible and convenient for citizens.

In order to help citizens in the orphan constituencies register and be able to make their choice of government in the 2024 general election, the NDC Greater Accra Regional Chairman, on Monday, 11th September 2023, donated an amount of Ghc 100,000.00 to be shared among orphan constituencies in the Greater Accra Region.

The donation is intended to provide some relief for the NDC Parliamentary Candidates and Constituency Executives of the orphan constituencies in going about the registration of their constituents.

In addition to the money, Ashie Moore has also donated a John Mahama and respective PC designed hand bills to aid in publicity for the registration.

The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NDC also promised to donate cartons of bottled water and assorted drinks to the various orphan constituencies to aid the exercise.

To crown his efforts towards support for the registration exercise, Hon. Ashie Moore has also pledged to visit constituencies in the region on each of the registration days to supervise and support PCs and Constituency Executives for the exercise.

The 14 Parliamentary Candidates upon receiving the donation, expressed their gratitude to Hon. Ashie Moore for his kind gesture, which would serve great importance for their constituencies and their Parliamentary bids.
