Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has moved her 2 February 2027 London concert to the O2 Academy Brixton after presale tickets for the 2,000-capacity Shepherd’s Bush Empire sold out.
She announced the change on 15 October in a poster shared with fans. “Presale sold out. Venue upgrade due to high demand,” it read. Ticketmaster now lists the show at the Brixton venue, which holds about 4,900 people, more than twice the size of the original hall.
General sale opens on Friday, 16 October, at 10am British Summer Time, which is 9am in Ghana. Fans who missed the presale, held from 14 October, have another chance to buy.
The upgrade follows posts by fans on social media saying more than 11,000 people had joined the online presale queue within 12 hours. That figure has not been independently verified. Some fans had called for a larger venue or extra London dates.
London is the only British stop and the final date of the European leg of the Starrgirl World Tour. The Mavin Records singer announced the 20-date tour on 12 October, a day after she performed at the halftime show of a National Football League (NFL) game in London. The tour opens on 20 January at the Live Music Hall in Cologne, Germany, before moving to Amsterdam, Paris, Milan, Zurich and Brussels.
After London, Starr heads to North America. That leg starts on 18 March at the House of Blues in Houston and ends on 14 April at The Fillmore in San Francisco.
The tour supports Starrgirl, her third studio album. Live Nation said it debuted at number two on Spotify’s global albums chart after its release on 14 August, and it features guest appearances from Wizkid, Rema and ZAYN.
No African dates are on the current schedule, though the singer has told fans on the continent to expect her in December.
