Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artiste Samini has described defamation of character as a serious offence, warning that false claims can have long-term effects on an individual’s reputation and legacy.

In a post on X, the Electric Energy hitmaker said defamation is “dangerous enough to charge a whole generation’s mind” against a person’s hard-earned image. He stressed that those found guilty of spreading false information should face legal consequences.

He further cautioned that allowing defamatory narratives to go unchallenged can lead to them being accepted as fact over time. According to him, once such claims become widely repeated, they can eventually shape public perception and even historical record.
