The Director of Marketing at Lancaster Kumasi City, Barbara Mensah, has been honoured with a Gold Award at the 16th Ashanti Business Leaders Awards in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the economic development of the Ashanti Region through tourism promotion and hospitality.

The award, presented by Top Brass Events, recognised her achievements in the category of Tourism Promotion (Hospitality), highlighting her role in advancing the region’s hospitality industry and supporting efforts to position Kumasi as a preferred destination for business and leisure tourism.

Director Isaac Dakwa of Top Brass Ghana noted that her contribution to the sector has helped strengthen the visibility of the hospitality industry in the Ashanti Region, while also contributing to economic growth through tourism development.

The Ashanti Business Leaders Awards is an annual platform that recognises individuals and organisations whose work continues to drive business growth, innovation and socio-economic development in the region.

Receiving the award, Mrs. Mensah expressed appreciation to the organisers for the recognition and dedicated the honour to her team and stakeholders in the hospitality industry.

She said the recognition would serve as motivation to continue promoting excellence in hospitality service delivery and supporting initiatives that enhance tourism development in the Ashanti Region.

She further underscored the importance of the tourism and hospitality sector to local economic growth, noting that the industry remains a major contributor to job creation and investment promotion.
