Basake Holy Stars FC have been fined GHS 20,000 by the Ghana Football Association Disciplinary Committee following misconduct during their Ghana Premier League fixture against Swedru All Blacks FC.

The committee found the club guilty of breaching regulations after supporters obstructed an authorized cameraman from filming the match. The individual, accredited by the Ghana Football Association, had been granted official permission to cover the game, but was prevented from carrying out his duties due to interference from sections of the home crowd.

In its ruling, the Disciplinary Committee stressed the importance of ensuring unhindered access for accredited media personnel, describing the incident as a violation of league regulations and matchday protocols.

Basake Holy Stars have been ordered to pay the fine within 14 days of receiving the official decision. The club has also been issued a formal warning, with authorities cautioning that any repeat of such misconduct will lead to more severe sanctions.

The decision highlights the GFA’s continued efforts to enforce discipline and uphold professional standards across the domestic league.
