Dr. Mrs. Beatrice Wiafe Addai, CEO of Peace and Love Hospitals and President of Breast Care International (BCI), has led a team of medical and outreach personnel on a breast cancer awareness and screening tour across selected senior high schools in the Ashanti Region.

The initiative, spearheaded by BCI in collaboration with global humanitarian organisation Direct Relief, active in 92 countries, aims to educate students on the importance of early detection and proactive breast health practices.

At Ejisuman Senior High School, hundreds of students were sensitised on breast cancer risk factors, symptoms, and the need for regular self-examination. A free breast screening exercise was also held for interested students and staff.

Dr. Wiafe Addai stressed that breast cancer is no longer limited to older adults, highlighting the need for young people to be informed, spread awareness, and seek help early.

The team also visited Kokofu and Tafo Government Hospitals, beneficiaries of their ongoing support,to assess existing gaps and explore ways to offer further assistance.
