Bechem United have appointed Francis Oti Akenteng as their new technical director.
At 68 years old, he will also oversee the Youth team of Bechem United and manage the technical department’s daily operations.
Akenteng has a wealth of knowledge in the technical aspects of football, having served as technical director for various clubs and the Ghana Football Association.
“We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Francis Oti Akenteng as the club’s new technical director to strengthen the club’s technical direction.
“Oti Akenteng will have the overall leadership and responsibility for operations and strategy across all football functions, reinforcing the strong foundations already in place mainly the club’s academy.
“He will work hand in hand with the technical team and will focus on a coordinated long-term approach to player and squad development, helping maintain the integral balance between the Academy and the first team, aligned with the philosophy of Bechem United.
“The appointment of the former technical director of the Ghana Football Association became necessary as it is in line with the club’s directive and identity of putting in place a strong structure for a well-organized transition of the youth team players into the senior team.
“The team welcomes and wishes Francis Oti-Akenteng success.”

Bechem United are currently fifth in the Ghana Premier League and will engage league leaders Aduana Stars on Friday afternoon in their final match of the first round.
