The daughter of the Bekwai Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon Kwaku Kyei Baffour, was shot dead by unknown gunmen on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Bebu near Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
According to GhanaWeekend’s checks, the deceased, Akua Serwaa, was 30 years old. She was attacked by the gunmen at around 8:00 PM. The motive for the attack is not yet known.
The police have confirmed the incident and have launched an investigation. The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Bekwai Municipal Hospital morgue pending autopsy.
The family of the deceased has not yet made a public announcement on the incident.
