Ghanaian forward Bernard Somuah Sarpong has received a call-up to Celta Vigo’s senior team for Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Portuguese side SC Braga.
The invitation marks another significant milestone for the former Asante Kotoko attacker, who has been rewarded after an outstanding campaign with Celta Fortuna.
The young forward enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 season, scoring 10 goals and providing one assist as Celta Fortuna secured promotion to La Liga 2 for the first time in the club’s history.
His consistent performances have now earned him an opportunity to impress the senior coaching staff during pre-season as Celta Vigo continue preparations for the new campaign.
A strong display against Braga could further boost Somuah’s chances of breaking into the first team ahead of the 2026/27 season.
