Sports betting company Betway Ghana is marking 10 years of operations in the country with a month-long customer appreciation campaign dubbed “IT’S YOUR TEN”, as the operator seeks to celebrate a decade of growth in one of West Africa’s most active betting markets.
The campaign, which translates into Twi as “Wo Mmre Adu” (Your Time Has Come), shifts attention from the company’s anniversary to customers who have used the platform since its launch in Ghana in 2016.
Betway said the initiative would feature promotions, activations and customer-focused experiences throughout June, rewarding users while highlighting their role in the company’s growth over the past decade.
“Reaching 10 years in Ghana is an important milestone for us, but more importantly, it’s a testament to the customers who have been part of our journey,” said Jason Kramer, Managing Director of Super Group Africa, which powers Betway’s operations on the continent.
“‘IT’S YOUR TEN’ is about celebrating them, their passion for sport, their moments of excitement, and their role in shaping what Betway is today,” he added.
Betway entered the Ghanaian market at a time when online sports betting was still gaining traction. Over the past decade, the sector has expanded rapidly, driven by rising smartphone adoption, improved internet connectivity and growing interest in European and local football competitions.
The company said it has continued to invest in its digital platforms and customer experience while expanding its engagement with sports fans across the country.
The anniversary campaign comes as competition intensifies within Ghana’s betting industry, with operators increasingly using promotions, technology upgrades and customer engagement initiatives to attract and retain users.
Betway said its focus remains on enhancing its sports and entertainment offering as it enters its second decade in Ghana.
