Beyoncé’s latest track, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” soared to the top of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart upon its debut, while her other country tune, “16 Carriages,” secured the 9th spot.

This achievement marks her inaugural solo No. 1 on the country charts, placing her alongside Taylor Swift as the only women without featured artists to attain this milestone, as per Billboard.

Beyoncé also becomes the first female artist to dominate both the Hot Country and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts since their inception in 1958, joining a select group including Morgan Wallen, Justin Bieber, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Ray Charles.

Released on February 11 following a teaser during a surprise Super Bowl ad for Verizon, both tracks were accompanied by captivating visualizers on YouTube. In the ad titled “Can’t B Broken,” Beyoncé took on the challenge to test Verizon’s 5G capabilities, concluding with her announcement to drop new music.

Shortly after, she unveiled snippets of “Texas Hold ‘Em” on her website, with full versions hitting streaming platforms. Alongside, she revealed plans for her eighth solo studio album, “Renaissance Act II,” slated for release on March 29.

Beyoncé’s recent cowgirl-inspired fashion choices hinted at her musical evolution, showcasing an exciting shift in the industry. For Beyoncé loyalists, known as the Beyhive, change and growth from their Queen Bey are par for the course, even as they continue to groove to her 2022 disco-centric “Renaissance” album.
