The Black Princesses of Ghana will learn their group stage opponents for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup when the official draw takes place on Friday, May 15, in Lodz.

The draw was confirmed by FIFA ahead of the tournament, which will be staged in Poland later this year.

Ghana secured qualification for the global competition after overcoming Uganda 3-2 on aggregate during the final round of qualifiers.

The Princesses won the first leg 2-1 in Accra before earning a 1-1 draw in Kampala over the weekend to seal qualification.

The qualification marked the eighth consecutive appearance for Ghana at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, further extending the country’s impressive record at youth level on the international stage.

Head coach Charles Sampson has already praised his players following qualification and remains optimistic the team can go beyond the group stage this time around.

The 24-team tournament will run from September 5 to September 27, 2026, in Poland.
