Henry Asante Twum has revealed that the Ghana national football team are likely to add another international friendly to their preparations ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
According to the Ghana Football Association spokesperson, discussions are ongoing for a potential match against a team from North or Central America. The proposed fixture is intended to complement Ghana’s already scheduled friendly against Wales national football team as part of efforts to adequately prepare the squad for the global tournament.
The decision follows Ghana’s disappointing performances in March, where the Black Stars suffered defeats in two friendly matches, results that contributed to the dismissal of former head coach Otto Addo.
With Carlos Queiroz now in charge, the additional friendly is expected to provide the team with more competitive exposure as they fine-tune preparations for the World Cup.
