An unknown Saudi Arabian club has made contact over the signing of Hearts of Oak and Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare following his impressive performances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, according to Ghanaian journalist Shaban Mohammed.
The 33-year-old has emerged as one of Ghana’s standout performers in recent months, attracting interest from abroad after establishing himself as the Black Stars’ first-choice goalkeeper during the tournament.
Asare played a key role in Ghana’s run to the Round of 32, keeping two clean sheets in three appearances and producing a series of crucial saves that enhanced his growing reputation on the international stage.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with the Saudi club now exploring the possibility of bringing the Ghana international to the Middle East ahead of the new season.
Asare’s stock has continued to rise following an outstanding campaign for both Hearts of Oak and the Black Stars, with several clubs reportedly monitoring his situation.
Should negotiations progress, the experienced goalkeeper could be set for the first overseas move of his career after a breakthrough year at both club and international level.
