Ghanaian pair Brian Brobbey and Mohammed Kudus combined to help Ajax Amsterdam secure their place in the semi-finals of the Dutch Cup.
Both Kudus and Brobbey started the game for the Eredivisie record winners who dismissed Graafschap 3-0 at the De Vijverberg in Doetinchem on Thursday night.
Ajax manager John Heitinga deployed the two Ghanaians in offensive positions and it yielded results as Brobbey set up Jorge Sanchez to open the scoring in the 12th minute before Kudus turned provider for Steven Berjwijn to increase the tally inside 26 minutes.
Brobbey added the 3rd goal 12 minutes before the end of normal time. He has so far scored 12 (11 in the league) goals in all competitions for Ajax while Kudus has 15 goals in all competitions.
He has already committed his future to the Dutch national team but he was left out of the Oranjes’ squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
