In a high-energy campaign rally held in Nsawam, Bryan Acheampong, Ghana’s Minister of Food and Agriculture and Member of Parliament for Abetifi, reiterated the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) firm commitment to winning the 2024 general elections.

His speech was marked by resolute confidence that the NPP would secure another term in office despite challenges from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Acheampong addressed a packed crowd, emphasizing the party’s preparedness and strategic advantage as they approach the December 7, 2024, elections.

He expressed unyielding confidence in the NPP’s ability to retain power, asserting that the opposition would not succeed in their bid to unseat the ruling party.

“Whether the NDC likes it or not, they will not win the 2024 elections. They won’t win. The New Patriotic Party is here to win elections,” Acheampong declared, underscoring the party’s determination and readiness.

He also highlighted the NPP’s strategy of mobilizing support from various sectors, including religious leaders and traditional figures.

This broad coalition, he suggested, would play a crucial role in securing victory.

In a defiant tone aimed at any potential critics of his statements, Acheampong remarked, “If you don’t understand, go and burn the sea.

We will win the elections and continue the good works of the NPP.” This statement reflects the high stakes and emotional, political atmosphere as the elections approach.

Acheampong’s remarks build on similar confident declarations he made earlier in the year, such as his speech in Mpraeso, where he similarly asserted the NPP’s strength and electoral prospects.

The NPP’s campaign for the 2024 elections is centred around the goal of ” breaking the 8,” which is to secure a third consecutive term in office.

Acheampong’s statements highlight the party’s readiness to leverage every available resource and strategy to achieve this objective.

As the December elections draw nearer, the political landscape is set to become increasingly competitive.

The NPP and the NDC are gearing up for a fiercely contested race, with each party working to sway voters and secure a mandate for governance.

With Acheampong’s bold declarations and the ongoing preparations by both major parties, the coming months will be crucial in shaping the future direction of Ghana’s political landscape.
