Third witness in the ongoing audio leak tape on the removal of Ghana’s IGP, Superintendent George Asare has debunked claims made about him by Chief Bugri Naabu, saying his stories are fabricated.
Appearing before the committee on August 29, 2023, the former regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Chief Bugri Naabu mentioned that, Superintendent George Asare introduced his colleague officer, Superintendent Gyebi for the purposes of meeting the president with concern to the removal of the IGP, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.
In his response, Superintendent George Asare denied the allegations made about him by someone he said he met only three times.
He mentioned that it would have been a dream come true to meet up with the President personally.
He further stated all the stories made or said about him are mere fabrications from Chief Bugri Naabu. He expressed his surprise at such claims made against him by Chief Bugri Naabu, the father of his Spiritual father.
