Nsoatreman FC have secured qualification to the second round of preliminary games after completing a double over Chad’s Elect Sport in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Ghana FA champions recorded a resounding 3-0 win in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium.
However, in the return leg staged at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaoundé, Walid Fuseini struck first with 10 minutes remaining in the first half, and Stephan Diyou sealed the 5-0 aggregate triumph four minutes from full time.
The historic win advances Nsoatreman to the next round, where Yaw Preko’s side will face either Police FC of Rwanda or Algeria’s Constantine.
The tie is scheduled to begin from September 15, 2024.
Before then, Nsoatreman will be involved in the Ghana Premier League which kicks off on September 6 as they face Young Apostles in their opener.
