The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced a major broadcast agreement with CANAL+ that will ensure extensive live coverage of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2026 across Sub-Saharan Africa.The agreement will see all 34 matches of the tournament broadcast live on SuperSport, giving millions of football fans access to Africa’s premier women’s football competition through DStv, DStv Stream, GOtv and GOtv Stream.The expanded 16-team tournament gets underway on Sunday, 26 July, with Algeria taking on Senegal at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat before hosts Morocco face Kenya at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium later in the evening.The broadcast deal forms part of CAF’s ongoing efforts to increase the visibility and commercial growth of women’s football across the continent, ensuring supporters in Sub-Saharan Africa can follow every moment of the competition.This year’s edition is expected to be the biggest in the tournament’s history following its expansion from 12 to 16 teams.The competition will also feature a record prize fund, with the eventual champions set to receive USD 2 million, underlining CAF’s growing investment in the women’s game.Fans across the region will be able to watch every fixture on SuperSport via DStv and GOtv platforms, significantly increasing the tournament’s reach and accessibility.The TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 will conclude on 16 August, when Africa’s new champions will be crowned after three weeks of top-class continental football.With increased television coverage, a larger tournament format and enhanced prize money, WAFCON 2026 is poised to become the most successful edition in the competition’s history as African women’s football continues its rapid rise on the global stage.
