Ghanaian winger Christopher Antwi-Adjei is set to extend his stay with VfL Bochum, but only if the club can avoid relegation in the final two games of the season, according to a report by WAZ.
The 30-year-old has chosen to remain loyal to the club after months of negotiations, with his current contract set to expire on June 30th.
Antwi-Adjei has had a diverse career, having played for several clubs such as SV Fortuna Hagen, Hasper SV, MSV Duisburg, TSC Eintracht Dortmund, SC Westfalia Herne, TSG Sprockhövel, and SC Paderborn 07 before joining VfL Bochum in May 2021.
This season, he has made 24 appearances in the Bundesliga, scoring once and providing two assists.
The winger’s future with Bochum now depends on the club’s performance in their last two games of the season. They will face off against newly crowned Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen on May 12th, followed by an away match against Werder Bremen on May 18th.
The outcome of these games will determine whether Antwi-Adjei will continue to play for Bochum or seek new opportunities.
