Ghana’s leading businesses and corporate executives are set to be recognised at the fourth edition of the Ghana Business League Awards (GBLA) 2026, an event that has become a prominent platform for celebrating excellence, innovation and leadership across the country’s private sector.
The awards ceremony, organised by Maven Communications in partnership with Zeliatte Media with support from Africaworks, is scheduled for June 27, 2026, at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra and is expected to bring together business leaders, policymakers, investors and members of the diplomatic community.
Organisers say the awards have grown into one of Ghana’s premier business ranking and recognition platforms, highlighting companies that have distinguished themselves in the manufacturing, supply and service sectors while promoting higher standards of corporate performance.
Beyond recognising outstanding achievements, the initiative seeks to provide companies with greater visibility, strengthen brand credibility and encourage healthy competition among businesses operating in Ghana’s economy.
The 2026 edition is expected to attract a high-profile audience, including Energy and Green Transition Minister John Abdulai Jinapor, Greater Accra Regional Minister Linda Ocloo, Trade and Agribusiness Minister Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Minister Abla Dzifa Gomashie, and KPMG Ghana Country Managing Partner Andrew Akoto.
Also expected at the event are Institute of Directors-Ghana President Mary Asare-Yeboah, Ghana Free Zones Authority Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mary Awusi, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre Chief Executive Officer Simon Madjie and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
The awards have over the years recognised businesses operating across diverse sectors of the economy, from banking and agribusiness to manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, engineering and logistics.
Past recipients include Guaranty Trust Bank Ghana, Olam Agri Ghana Limited, B5 Plus Limited, Letshego Ghana Savings and Loans PLC, Tang Palace Hotel, AgroCrown West Africa Company Limited and Samara Group Ghana.
Individual honours have also been awarded to some of the country’s top business leaders. Previous winners include Frank Adjei Mensah of LESFAM Industries Limited, Baibhav Biswas of Olam Agri Ghana Limited, Gopal Vasu of M&G Pharmaceuticals and Professor Sampson Effah Apraku of Samara Group Ghana.
According to the organisers, the awards are intended to showcase organisations and individuals whose contributions are helping to drive economic growth, job creation and innovation while setting benchmarks for excellence within their respective industries.
As preparations intensify for the 2026 edition, the Ghana Business League Awards is expected to once again provide a platform for celebrating the achievements of companies and executives that continue to shape Ghana’s evolving business landscape.
The event underscores the growing importance of corporate leadership and innovation as businesses navigate a rapidly changing economic environment and pursue new opportunities for growth and competitiveness.
