
Black Stars goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi says playing in the UEFA Europa League would mark another significant milestone in his career as he prepares for a new season with Swiss side St. Gallen.The Ghana international helped St. Gallen lift the Swiss Cup last season, securing the club’s place in the Europa League qualifiers.”It’ll be a great achievement for me to play in the Europa League because you get to play against some of the best players,” Ati-Zigi told Sporty FM.The 29-year-old is expected to feature when St. Gallen take on Portuguese giants Benfica in the second qualifying round, with a place in the league phase at stake.Ati-Zigi heads into the new campaign in high spirits after an impressive 2026 FIFA World Cup with Ghana.
