Media personality and MC, AJ Akuoko-Sarpong,  has shared a deeply emotional tribute to her late father, Nana Kwame Akuoko Sarpong, the Paramount Chief of the Asante Akyem Agogo Traditional Area, who passed away a few weeks ago.

In a heartfelt post accompanied by memorable photos of her late father, AJ Sarpong described the pain of returning home and not finding him there, admitting that the experience left her feeling “lost.” She reflected on how difficult it has been to come to terms with his passing, noting that she had always believed he would live much longer due to his strength and resilience.

She described Nana Kwame Akuoko Sarpong as a “pillar” and a “force,” calling him an unmovable and unshakable presence in their family. She also recalled how even family friends often joked about his resilience, once saying he had “nine lives,” a belief she herself held dearly.

“Nana was a pillar. A force. A tree that would never move. Unmovable and Unshakable! He had come back from the brink so many times that I literally couldn’t imagine a reality where he wasn’t here,” she wrote.

AJ Sarpong further expressed the emotional void his absence has created, sharing that she now struggles with thoughts of who she will turn to for guidance during key life moments such as graduation and marriage introductions.

“Now I sit with the questions I never thought l’d have to ask: Daddy, who will I bring to greet when I find the One? Who will I call when I graduate again and would tell me Wo Tiri nkwa? Who will I buy a card for on Father’s Day?,” she added.

While mourning her loss, she expressed gratitude for the years they shared, describing her father as “iconic, exceptional, inspiring,” and reaffirming her faith despite the pain of grief.
