American music producer DJ Khaled has revealed that Nigerian singer Burna Boy will be featured on his upcoming 14th studio album, titled “Till Next Time”.
Khaled, who is also a disc jockey and radio personality, said he was inspired by Afrobeats and would like to collaborate with Grammy-winning and Oscar-nominated Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems.
He said he feels a similar “spiritual connection” to Afrobeats as he does to dancehall music.
Khaled made these revelations during a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine.
During the interview, the Palestinian-American music star also said that his parents sometimes joke with him about running for president, but he has never been interested in politics.
He said: “As far as politics, I never got into it. It’s a never-ending conversation of back and forth. There’s never an answer. I’d rather be the person that focuses on the solution of being good at all times, working hard, and spreading that love because you can do that.”
