Dreams FC boss Winfred Dormon has urged his players to remain focused and avoid complacency ahead of Dreams FC’s MTN FA Cup final clash against Nations FC on Sunday.

The two clubs will battle for the final domestic trophy of the 2025/26 season, with the winner also securing Ghana’s ticket to next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.

While Nations FC suffered relegation from the Ghana Premier League on the final day of the campaign, Dormon believes their impressive FA Cup run proves they remain a dangerous side capable of causing problems.

Speaking ahead of the final, the Dreams FC coach insisted his team is concentrating on its preparations rather than being distracted by Nations FC’s league status.

“We are concentrating on our preparations coming into the game. Yes, Nations FC have been relegated, but as far as the FA Cup competition is concerned, they have told an impressive story so we need to approach this game very cautiously,” Dormon said.

His comments reflect the respect Dreams FC have for their opponents, who will be looking to end a disappointing season on a high by lifting the FA Cup and qualifying for continental football.

Dreams FC, meanwhile, are seeking to add another major trophy to their history and secure a return to African club competition after another strong cup campaign.

With both sides chasing silverware and a place in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup, Sunday’s final promises to be a fiercely contested encounter despite the contrasting fortunes they experienced in the league season.
