The re-collation of results for the Dome Kwabenya Constituency has been suspended until further notice, the EC has said.
The EC said the hard copies of results for three polling stations could not be retrieved, hence the decision to suspend collation.
Mr. James Cofie, Returning Officer for Dome Kwabenya, told journalists that the re-collation of results for the Constituency will not proceed until further directives from the National EC Office.
As a result, the EC has directed officials to put the process on hold while the Commission investigates the matter further.
Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission’s Director of Electoral Services, Benjamin Bannor Bio, has announced that the management will soon make a final decision regarding the suspended parliamentary elections in the Ablekuma North constituency.
Dome-Kwabenya and Ablekuma North constituencies remain unresolved following issues during the 2024 elections, with the EC expected to provide clarity on the way forward.
