It has come to light that the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) is struggling to contact Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah.
The EFA expects the Pharaoh’s captain to be part of the national team squad for the upcoming March international break.
During the international break, new head coach Hossam Hassan and his team will take part in the Winsunited Cup in the UAE alongside Tunisia, Croatia, and New Zealand.
According to EFA board member Ehab El-Komy, they cannot contact Mohammed Salah although there are no issues between the player and the new head coach.
“The Egyptian national team, led by Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan, can’t communicate with Mohamed Salah so far.
“So far, there hasn’t been any meeting between Hossam Hassan and Mohamed Salah, but there is no dispute between the two parties,” he said.
The EFA board member continued, “The Minister of Sports will hold a session between the two parties to create a conducive atmosphere within the team.
“The relationship between the Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi and Mohamed Salah is excellent. There is an agreement between the EFA and him to work on resolving any issues related to the national team.”
Despite the current difficulty, EFA expects Mohammed Salah to report to camp to feature for Egypt in the Winsunited Cup.
