The first chapter of EXIT to Montenegro was completed on Long Beach in Ulcinj, welcoming more than 50,000 visitors over three festival nights and officially opening Montenegro’s summer season.

Featuring performances by Monolink, Jamie Jones, Argy, Maceo Plex, Stephan Bodzin, Awen, Fiona Kraft, Konstantin Sibold, Space Motion, Deer Jade, Lanna and numerous regional artists, alongside a spectacular 12-metre monumental installation that became the visual centrepiece of the event, the festival transformed Ulcinj into one of Europe’s most exciting electronic music destinations. The journey now continues from 28th to 31st August in Budva (Bečići), where the second and final chapter of EXIT to Montenegro will take place.

Across three days and nights, Long Beach became a unique meeting point of music, nature and contemporary production. The daytime programme unfolded across the coastline with music, beach activities and a spectacular kitesurfing display above the Adriatic, while after sunset audiences experienced world-class electronic music in one of the Mediterranean’s most spectacular natural settings.

At the heart of the stage design stood a 12-metre monumental installation, created through a collaboration between Montenegrin and Serbian artists. Brought to life through immersive 3D projections, it became one of the defining visual symbols of the festival. The artwork was conceived as a homage to Ivana Kovačević, wife of EXIT founder Dušan Kovačević and an important member of the EXIT family, celebrating the feminine principle of compassion, hope and the protection of life.

The festival also demonstrated the growing role of major cultural events in extending Montenegro’s tourism season, attracting visitors at the very beginning of July and helping fill an early-July lull that has long challenged Montenegro’s tourism calendar. At the same time, it confirmed the enormous potential of Long Beach as one of Europe’s emerging festival destinations.

Following the Ulcinj chapter, EXIT to Montenegro continues its coastal journey at the end of August in Bečići, where audiences can look forward to another spectacular festival edition featuring Peggy Gou, Charlotte de Witte, HUGEL, John Newman, Enrico Sangiuliano, RPR Soundsystem, and many more.
