The life and legacy of popular Ghanaian fashion designer, Halimatu Sadia Sanusi, were celebrated on Friday, July 10, as family, friends, clients, and members of the fashion community gathered to pay their final respects.

The funeral service, held at the ICGC Christ Temple East, brought together people from different walks of life, including industry colleagues, public figures, politicians, and loved ones who came together to mourn the designer and honour the impact she made during her lifetime.

Mourners arrived dressed in black as they paid tribute to Sadia Sanusi, whose creativity and craftsmanship earned her recognition in Ghana’s fashion industry.

The solemn proceedings began with a filing past of Sadia Sanusi’s mortal remains, where family members, friends, colleagues, clients, and well-wishers were given the opportunity to pay their final respects. However, the moment was held away from cameras, with no media coverage allowed at the area where mourners filed past the late designer.

The memorial service that followed was led by the Founder and General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Pastor Dr. Mensa Otabil, and featured tributes, musical performances, and a message of comfort and reflection from the man of God.
