FC AshantiGold 04 head coach Karim Zito says he is not seeking revenge against Asante Kotoko as both teams prepare for a crucial Ghana Premier League showdown. The Premier League debutants will host the Porcupine Warriors at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium in matchday eight of the Ghanaian top flight, with both teams seeking the maximum points at stake. After seven matches in the campaign, Asante Kotoko sit eighth on the league table with 11 points, while AshantiGold 04 occupy 10th position with 10 points. However, Zito, who managed Kotoko last season, has played down talk of revenge, stressing that his focus remains on helping AshantiGold 04 secure a positive result.I am not going to seek revenge against Kotoko. It is a game, and just as I want to win, they also want to beat us, he told Akoma FM in an interview. Our approach will be the same as in every other game because the points at stake are the same, he added. The former Dreams FC tactician parted ways with Asante Kotoko midway through last season following a run of disappointing results.Following his departure from Kotoko, Zito quickly joined AshantiGold 04 and played an instrumental role in helping the club secure promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
