A former X Factor finalist has pleaded not guilty to the murder of social media influencer Klaudia Zakrzewska, who was allegedly run over outside a nightclub in central London.
Gabrielle Carrington, 29, is accused of striking Zakrzewska with a car outside Inca nightclub in Soho in the early hours of 19 April. She was initially charged with attempted murder, but prosecutors later upgraded the charge to murder after Zakrzewska died from her injuries six days later.
Carrington appeared before the Old Bailey by video link from prison, where she denied the charge. The court has scheduled the trial to begin on 5 January.
Carrington, known online as RIELLEUK, has more than 365,000 followers on Instagram and rose to fame as a member of Miss Dynamix, which reached the live finals of The X Factor in 2013. Zakrzewska, who was in her 30s, was a TikTok and Instagram personality known to her followers as Klaudiaglam.
