Frederick Lartey Otu has been re-elected President of the Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) after securing victory at the federation’s Elective Congress, earning another term to lead the sport in the country.

His re-election follows a closely contested race against Charles Tsibo Cromwell and extends his tenure after years of overseeing significant growth within Ghanaian taekwondo.

Lartey Otu has been widely credited with strengthening governance, expanding grassroots participation, promoting Para Taekwondo and improving Ghana’s performance on the international stage during his previous years in office.

His administration also played a key role in increasing the federation’s global visibility and developing athletes and technical officials.

Following his victory, Lartey Otu is expected to continue implementing programmes aimed at expanding the sport nationwide while building on the gains achieved under his leadership over the past several years.
