GCB Bank PLC has officially selected five loyal customers qualified for all-expenses-paid trips to the 2026 Global Football Fiesta in the USA, Canada and Mexico, concluding its five-month ‘Pa To Pa’ retail banking promotion.

The reward package covers round-trip airfare, accommodation, match tickets, visas and feeding money.

The ‘Pa To Pa’ campaign was launched in December 2025 with a clear objective, which is to encourage customers to save toward meaningful life goals.

To qualify for the grand prize, participants were required to deposit a minimum of GH₵300 to earn a point and maintain or increase their balance over a month, accumulating points with every deposit to boost their chances in the final draw.

GCB Bank Managing Director, Farihan Alhassan, explained the thinking behind the initiative in his remarks at the climax held in Accra.

“We wanted to make saving more purposeful and relatable because the campaign was built around making life aspirations, weddings, dream vehicles, holidays and even travel to support the national team, feel closer and more achievable. Pa to Pa was designed to make those goals feel closer and simpler,” he said.

Mr. Alhassan further noted that customer response over the five months had been overwhelming, with strong participation recorded across the country.

Executive Head of Retail, Sina Kamagate, emphasised that the prizes represent the bank’s way of demonstrating appreciation to the loyal customers over the decades, adding that GCB Bank will continue leveraging its position as Ghana’s largest indigenous bank to offer world-class rewards, with more incentives expected in the lead-up to the tournament.

“What we are doing here today is to reward those who played more in our game…every prize was GCB’s way of saying thank you; it was our way of saying we value you, and we are in this with you,” Kamagate remarked.

He revealed that the promotion’s concept was inspired by football and Ghana’s national identity, specifically the fluid ‘Pa To Pa’ style of play expected from the Black Stars at the international tournament.

The campaign celebrated 50 outstanding customers in total. The first draw, held in January 2026, rewarded 10 customers with household electronics, including television sets, microwaves and refrigerators.

The subsequent monthly draws each rewarded 10 clients, bringing the number to 40. At the grand finale, the five top winners claimed the World Cup trips, while five other clients received rewards, bringing the total to a total 50.

The five grand prize winners, who hail from various regions across Ghana, were selected through a transparent digital draw supervised by the National Lotteries Authority.

New Visa Card promotion with World Cup rewards unveiled

At the same event, Head of Products at GCB, Emelia Sackey, announced a new Visa Card promotion offering customers exclusive international football experiences.

She explained that customers can qualify by completing five international transactions totalling GH₵10,000 within the promotional period, which runs until May 25.

She added that the initiative operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The five customers to meet the requirement will receive fully sponsored World Cup trips, an offer she described as part of a partnership between GCB Bank and Visa, overseen by the National Lotteries Authority.

An additional six customers will receive free World Cup match tickets and this is targeted at fans who have already acquired visas and are ready to travel to the games.

Beyond these headline rewards, the bank will also host a World Cup viewing event at a five-star hotel for 100 customers between June and September, and distribute curated gift boxes to over 100 customers.

Mrs. Sackey urged customers to take advantage of the promotion, emphasising that it reflects GCB Bank’s commitment to rewarding loyalty through memorable global experiences.

Adding further detail, Sina Kamagate described the Visa promotion as a “speed game” designed to reward quick and active customer engagement.

“With only a few weeks to the World Cup, we are encouraging customers to activate or continue using their Visa cards and begin making international transactions immediately,” Kamagate said.

The promotion ends on May 25, after which the top five qualifying customers will be selected. He stressed that the initiative reflects GCB Bank’s drive to go beyond traditional banking by creating opportunities for memorable global experiences through everyday transactions.
