President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr. Simeon-Okraku, has commissioned a borehole facility at Kpando Park to enhance the development of football in the Volta Region.
The borehole project, which is funded by proceeds from FIFA Forward 1.0, is an initiative of the Executive Council of the GFA to improve domestic competition across the football ecosystem.
The facility would be of immense importance to the Regional Football Association, as the Ho Sports Stadium and the Akatsico Park would also have one.
Several facilities in the Greater Accra, Ashanti, and Brong Ahafo regions have already been completed and commissioned.
President Simeon-Okraku was in the company of some Executive Council members, the Division One League Board, and the Chairman of the Volta Regional Football Association, Daniel Agbogah.
Others include Chiefs and Elders of the Kpando Traditional Area, the President of Heart of Lions, Dr. Randy Abbey, and the Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association, Samuel Aboabire.
Mr. Okraku would commission a similar project in Ho and Akatsi, respectively, on Monday.
