The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has pledged to collaborate with stakeholders to develop a strategic plan for the Black Stars after they failed to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

This comes after a meeting with head coach Otto Addo, where he presented a comprehensive 56-page technical report.

Addo has taken full responsibility for the team’s poor performance and outlined plans to rebuild the squad with a focus on discipline, accountability, and a clear playing philosophy ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

“The GFA remains committed to making decisions in collaboration with key stakeholders for the good of Ghana football,” a statement from the Association read.

“This process will focus on fostering collective will and single-mindedness to rebuild the Black Stars into a formidable force.”

Coach Addo, who has taken full responsibility for the team’s poor showing, also outlined a vision to improve discipline, accountability, and team cohesion.

His plan includes creating a clear playing philosophy and fostering unity among players and technical staff.

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers looming, the GFA and stakeholders are determined to chart a new path.
