Call us

The Ghana Football Associations (GFA) Talent Identification Programme has received enthusiastic participation and strong support from colts coaches, physical education tutors, and football enthusiasts in the Western Region, particularly in the Ellembelle and Shama districts.

Held from April 2326 in Ellembelle and April 2830 in Shama, the programme was designed to build capacity among grassroots football stakeholders. It focused on equipping physical education tutors, colts coaches, and district sports coordinators with essential skills in basic coaching, talent identification, player development, and scouting techniques.

The initiative featured a series of interactive seminars and practical sessions, culminating in a football festival that engaged basic school pupils in both districts. These festivals provided participants with a real-time platform to apply newly acquired knowledge while offering young talents the opportunity to showcase their skills in an organized and supportive environment.

The GFA Talent Identification Programme forms part of the Associations broader commitment to developing a sustainable football ecosystem through grassroots empowerment. By strengthening the technical foundation at the district and school levels, the programme aims to enhance the quality and consistency of talent discovery across the country.

The positive response from local coaches, teachers, and football lovers highlights the growing recognition of the importance of early-stage player development. The GFA extends its appreciation to all stakeholders who contributed to the successful rollout of the programme in Ellembelle and Shama, and remains committed to expanding its reach to more regions in the near future.
