Ghana midfielder James Akaminko, currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Jordanian side Al-Khader.
The 30-year-old central midfielder became unattached after leaving Tanzanian club Azam FC on 1 July 2026. Akaminko joined Azam in July 2022 from Ghanaian side Great Olympics, having previously spent part of his career with Medeama, Tema Youth and Ashanti Gold.
His potential move to Al-Khader would represent a return to club football after his departure from Azam. The rumour was recorded on 16 August, with no transfer fee or contract terms attached to the proposed move.
Akaminko has made 87 appearances in the Ghana Premier League, scoring three goals and providing four assists. He has also featured in continental competition, making nine appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup and two in the CAF Champions League.
The midfielders career has included spells in Ghana, Tunisia and Tanzania. He joined US Tataouine from Ashanti Gold in October 2020 before returning to Ghana with Great Olympics in February 2021.
Akaminkos most recent club affiliation was Azam, where he remained until his departure at the start of July. Any move to Al-Khader would therefore be his first recorded transfer since becoming unattached.
