MP for Daffiama-Bussie-Issa, Dr. Sebastian N. Sandaare, has welcomed the decision by Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang to partner with John Dramani Mahama and be responsible for health, education, gender, women, and social protection for the attainment of the 24-Hours Economy agenda.
According to him, this will help change the story of Ghana today, which he said has been brought about by the NPP Government under the leadership of Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia—”a story of hopelessness”, “Ghanaians do not have any hope today”.
In an interview with gbcghanaonline.com, the MP applauded the NDC’s running mate and mentioned the fact that “she accepts that the two will work together for the restoration of hope, justice, peace and to create jobs, which means Ghana will rise again.” “This is very good and she herself has pointed out that she is going to cooperate with John Mahama as the president, and she will work with him, listen to him, bring ideas, and by large support the president to deliver on the 24-Hour Economy for the people.”
Dr. Sandaare submitted that NDC is noted for creating a sustainable job for the youth, and “this will be done again from 2025 on for Ghanaians, especially women and children, prosperity for all and that is what Ghanaians are looking for”.
He, however, noted that the appointment of Professor Opoku-Agyemang has sparked joy and excitement at the base of the party. “This has made many of us, including the foot soldiers and other followers of the party, excited, and we know that victory is assured for the NDC, and we believe that this pair will bring hope and development for all.”
