After a festive break, the Ghana Women’s Premier League resumes with match day 8 action across the country.

Defending champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies, still unbeaten in the Northern Zone with 21 points from 7 games, face a challenge without their long-time coach, Joe Nana Adarkwa.

The Techiman-based side will go up against Tamale Super Ladies at the Kulikuli Astro Turf. Meanwhile, relegation-threatened Sung Shinning Ladies will aim for a fresh start against Dreamz Ladies at the Bantama Astro Turf.

The Northern Zone will also feature Prisons Ladies against Kumasi Sports Academy at the Sunyani Coronation Park, Fosu Royal Ladies facing FC Savannah at the Ohene Ameyaw Park, and Supreme Ladies taking on Northern Ladies at the Bantama Astro Turf.

In the Southern Zone, Police Ladies lead the pack with 16 points. Hasaacas Ladies, in third place, have been struggling with a 7-point deficit. Army Ladies will take on Jonina Ladies, Ladystrikers host bottom-placed Berry Ladies, Faith Ladies meet title contenders Police Ladies at the Carl Reindorf Park, Halifax Queens face Hasaacas Ladies, and Epiphany Warriors take on Soccer Intellectuals.

The second half of the season promises to bring exciting matchups and pivotal moments as teams battle for supremacy.
