Indonesian football club PSS Sleman is making waves in the player transfer market ahead of the BRI Liga 1-2024/2025 season with the signing of Ghanaian defender Phil Ofosu-Ayeh.
The Yogyakarta-based club has bolstered its wing-back sector with the addition of the 183 cm tall player.
Phil Ofosu-Ayeh began his professional football journey in Germany with SV Wilhelmshaven Youth, which paved the way for him to play in several European clubs outside of Germany.
Phil Ofosu-Ayeh’s impressive career has seen him play for Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers, RW Erfurt, MSV Duisburg, Aalen, Eintracht Braunschweig, Hansa Rostock, Würzburger Kickers, and most recently, Halmstads Bollklubb.
Before the defender’s move to Indonesian outfit PSS Sleman, Ayeh made a significant impact in the 2024 Allsvenskan for Halmstads BK in Sweden, where he played 12 games and scored twice.
Phil Ofosu-Ayeh’s experience and skills are expected to bring a new dynamic to PSS Sleman’s gameplay in the upcoming season.
