Ghanaians talk too much- GFA technical director fires

The Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Bernhard Lippert says Ghanaians are fond of complaining about poor outcomes in football rather than conceding the reality.

He was enlightening Ghanaians on the recently released document, the ‘National Football Philosophy,’ which preserves Ghana football’s identity while noting that it is about time stakeholders learned well in order to catch up with other countries that are far ahead of Ghana.

Following the recent fall in club and national team performances, many have urged for a suitable framework to get Ghana back on track in terms of football.

The GFA, on the other hand, launched the document on Wednesday, which is designed to instruct and refresh the minds of all stakeholders in order to revive the nation’s glory days in the game.

Speaking at the occasion, Lippert asked Ghanaians to temper their expectations and instead become acquainted with the nation’s football identity.

“I think we are talking too much as a people. In Africa, most of the countries are ahead of us and we think we are still a football powerhouse. We need to work hard.

“It’s very important for us to have characteristics, That’s why we tried to find out our DNA as Ghanaians. We need to have an identity,” Bernhard Lippert said on Wednesday during the launch of the National Football Philosophy.
