Ghanaian defender Clinton Dombila has made his official debut for Armenian side FC Noah in their narrow 1-0 victory over BKMA Yerevan in round four of the Fastex Premier League.
The newly signed Ghanaian came off the bench to make his competitive debut, replacing compatriot Eric Boakye, who provided the assist for the only goal of the game.
Zaven Khudverdyan scored in the 73rd minute to give FC Noah a hard-fought victory, while Marko Lazetic missed a penalty in the 83rd minute as the visitors held on for all three points.
Dombila’s introduction marked the beginning of a new chapter with FC Noah after his recent move to the Armenian giants, and he will now look to earn more playing time as the season progresses.
Another Ghanaian, Brian Oddei, also featured for Noah and played 45 minutes in the encounter, contributing to the team’s efforts.
The victory means FC Noah have maintained their perfect start to the season, winning all four matches to collect 12 points and sit at the top of the league table.
Clinton Dombila and his teammates will next face his former club FC Ararat, giving the Ghanaian defender an early opportunity to come up against his former employers.
