Kumawood actress Joyce Boakye recounted how Actress and Evangelist Gloria Kani cursed her, claiming she would never give birth. “She told me I wouldn’t be able to have kids, and I just kept quiet. Now, I’ve given birth, and my child is my response to her.”
According to Joyce, Gloria Kani went as far as saying that if she ever gave birth, she would throw away her Bible, admitting that God never called her and that she was preaching out of hunger. “I saw the video and laughed,” Joyce continued. “All I did was pray to God, saying, ‘I have no other God apart from you, so let my enemies see that you are God.’”
When asked about the cause of the quarrel, Joyce said they had a misunderstanding on set. “We’re all actresses, and sometimes things get tense on set. If it weren’t for social media, no one would have known we had a disagreement. It was a small issue, and I thought it was resolved. But then I saw her on the radio cursing me.”
