2024 Futsal Africa Cup of Nations: Ghana’s national team departs to Rabat to wrap up preparations

The national futsal team of Ghana, known as Hana’s Futsal team, has departed from Accra on Wednesday to Morocco to complete their preparations for the 2024 Futsal Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which is set to take place from April 11 to 21.

The team will be acclimatizing in Rabat for eight days before the start of the tournament.

Ghana has been placed in Group A of the tournament, where they will be competing against host and defending champions Morocco, Angola, and Zambia.

Ghana’s first match will be against Zambia, followed by a match against Morocco, and finally against Angola.

The top three teams from the tournament will qualify for the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Uzbekistan as the CAF representatives.

The team is led by Coach Philip Boakye, who is accompanied by technical staff and management committee officials.

The team’s participation in the tournament is a significant opportunity for them to showcase their skills and compete against some of the best teams in Africa.
