The first runner-up of the 2013 edition of Ghana’s Most Beautiful, Juliana Bubune Titiati, popularly known as Bubu, has reportedly died.

News of her death emerged on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, with multiple sources, including TV3 Ghana and Volta Today, confirming the sad development.

Bubune’s official Facebook page also shared a post featuring a broken-heart emoji, in what appeared to be a cryptic confirmation of the reports of her death. The post has since attracted an outpouring of condolences, with many expressing sadness over her reported passing while others struggled to believe the news.

The former beauty queen had been open about her battle with lymphoma cancer and her journey as a survivor. She previously spoke publicly about the difficult experience, including her treatment and the challenges she faced during her illness.

Bubu became known to many Ghanaians through Season 7 of Ghana’s Most Beautiful in 2013, where she represented the Volta Region. She made it to the final and finished as the first runner-up, narrowly missing out on the crown. Her performances earned her a strong following, with viewers particularly appreciating her confidence and the way she showcased the culture and traditions of the Volta Region.

Even after her GMB journey, she remained connected to the promotion of Volta culture and continued to be remembered by fans of the pageant.  Her reported death has since sparked an emotional response from people who followed her journey from the GMB stage and through her battle with cancer.
