Great Olympics coach Bismark Kobby Mensah praised his team after a crucial victory over Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

The match was the coach’s first home game in charge, and he ensured that his team secured the much-needed three points despite finishing with ten men.

Great Olympics had been struggling in their previous four games, losing three and drawing one, and were desperate for a win to salvage their season.

The victory was a significant boost for the team, and the coach was quick to credit his players for their hard work.

“I told you that and we have done that. Seriously, the credit goes to the players. They have worked very hard with discipline, character, and momentum.

“We saw the solidarity among the players and it was good. I think we deserved to win this game. They saw more of the ball but we had the clearest chance and we scored,” Kobby Mensah said after the game.

He stated that his team would fully recover if they maintained consistent performances like the one they displayed against Hearts of Oak.

“Of course, beating Hearts is a good feeling but we did certain things right and that is what we have to keep doing. We need to stay focused because football is all about preparations. Mentally they were ready and they have gotten the result today,” he added.
