Great Olympics coach Bismark Kobi Mensah has expressed his satisfaction with his team’s performance in their 2-0 victory over Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League on Thursday.

The Wonder Club came into the game on the back of a disappointing draw against Tamale City but responded very well with a splendid performance to beat title chasers Kotoko at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.

In his post-match interview, Kobi Mensah revealed that the win was crucial to his side’s relegation battle.

He said, “Playing against Kotoko was a headache for me because they also want to win the league. But we prepared very well for the game and I think we deserved the win because we were very dominant in all departments in the first half showing resilience and determination. And that has won the game for us.”

When asked about his team’s survival hopes, Kobi Mensah said, “I think it has given us more hope, especially after our disappointment in the last game. We came into this game with the mindset of winning more than any other thing.”

The victory has lifted Great Olympics one place up from the relegation zone.
