Thousands of patrons at the just-ended ‘Harvest Praise 23’ Gospel musical concert were thrilled to the tunes of anointed songs from Grammy award-winning American Gospel singer Don Moen and Nigerian super-singer Moses Bliss as they led the audience into the throne room.
Harvest Praise is an annual gospel music outreach program, initiated by Harvest International Ministries (HIM) in 1998 and held on every Good Friday.
The biggest gospel musical concert has since helped people who hitherto did not know Christ, come to have an amazing relationship with their maker.
The annual event has also been used to project local and international talents in the gospel music industry.
Dubbed the ’Silver Jubilee Edition’ to celebrate the 25 years of the festival’s formation, this year’s festival which took place on Good Friday, April 7, at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) saw the American legendary singer, Moses Bliss , The Harvest Praise Choir and others delight the audience with their powerful and alluring voices.
Each artist showed their worship and praise prowess when they took their turn on stage and had the audience on their feet throughout the time they were on the stage.The back-to-back praise and worship brought some needed warmth and joy to the hearts of the patrons.
Even though other performers like the Harvest Praise Choir performed excellently, the much-talked-about performances were that of the Grammy award-winning Gospel singer and Nigeria’s Moses Bliss.
The 72-year-old Grammy award-winner, clad in blue tuxedo over a white long sleeve shirt sang songs including, ‘God will make a way’, ‘I am the God that healeth thee’, Be Magnified, God is good, among others.
The Peak of his unblemished performance was when he performed with his violin. It was really refreshing to see the legendary American Gospel singer put up such a classical performance to the admiration of all.
Immediately Moses Bliss hopped onto the stage after Don Moen’s ‘G.O.A.T’ performance, he took the audience to a different realm of the spirit when he sang his popular songs which have currently dominated the Christian music space.
Clad in beautiful yellow African apparel, Moses Bliss who spent more than forty five minutes on stage dazzled patrons with songs such as ‘Bigger Every Day,Too faithful, Kumama Papa and others.His technique on the microphone, and his coordination with the tumultuous audience was superb.
His combination with the band was really a delight to watch. He put up an electrifying performance that imbued the patrons to yearn for more.
