Home Stars F.C. are emerging as a trailblazing club with many first-time experiences.

After two seasons in the Division One League, the club is striving for excellence, taking each match as it comes while working their way to the top with the goal of becoming a household name in the MTN FA Cup by reaching the Round of 32.

Home Stars FC, loved by locals and football enthusiasts, is making history by reaching this stage of the competition for the first time and also as the sole representative from the Volta Region this season.

This achievement stands out following their impressive performance against Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities FC, where they pulled off a stunning 1-0 upset in the Round of 64.

Next, Home Stars are set to face Ghanaian giants and continental club masters, Accra Hearts against Stars: Epic clash awaits of Oak.

Hearts of Oak, a 12-time FA Cup champion, with their most recent titles won in successive seasons, 2021 and 2022, would anticipate a challenging match against Home Stars FC, especially after detecting the impressive performance of the Afevio in their last FA Cup game.

Although Hearts of Oak dominated a friendly match between the two teams earlier in the season, winning 6-0, Home Stars FC’s giant-killing potential means they shouldn’t be underestimated.

Hearts of Oak will need to respect their opponents and avoid any complacency because Home Stars is sure to come out strong.

As a 22-time Ghana Premier League winner, Hearts of Oak would want to avoid any negative headlines stemming from this match.

This clash is significant for both teams, particularly as they share a connection to the Paramountcy of Asogli state, the Agbogbomefia Togbe Afede, who is the bankroller of Accra Hearts of Oak, while Home Stars FC are based in his state.

This adds an intriguing layer to the match, which represents a battle of two hearts, but one can easily guess where Togbe’s loyalty lies.

Last season, both teams were eliminated in the round of 64. Home Stars FC lost to regional rivals Hohoe United by a single goal, while Hearts of Oak was narrowly defeated by Nania FC in a penalty shootout, 4-3.

Will Home Stars manage to take down another Premier League giant and continue their fairy-tale run, or will it be an easy win for the rainbow-coloured boys during the weekend of January 10-13?

Fans of both sides are sure to experience an electrifying encounter, and your guess is as good as mine!
