Hearts of Oak have opened negotiations with highly rated goalkeeper Kwaku Musah, with talks progressing positively as the Phobians look to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.The shot-stopper is expected to sign a contract with the club soon, pending the finalisation of discussions between both parties.Musah, who currently plays for Hohoe United, has emerged as one of the standout goalkeepers in the domestic scene, earning praise for his reflexes, composure and consistency between the posts .The 20-year-old attracted interest from several Ghana Premier League clubs following his impressive performances for Hohoe United . FC AshantiGold were believed to be leading the race for his signature, with Karela United and Young Apostles FC also closely monitoring the player’s situation .Musah made 16 appearances for Hohoe United during the 2025/26 season, playing a total of 1,440 minutes and conceding 15 goals . He kept two clean sheets during the campaign .The Phobians have been active in the transfer market as they prepare for the new season under newly appointed head coach Nebojsa Kapor . The club has already secured the return of several players from loan, including winger Bernard Somuah from Spanish side Celta Fortuna .Hearts are also closing in on PAC Academy centre-back Manuel Mantey Gyan, with negotiations between the two clubs progressing positively .
